Smothered Thin Pork Chops

Difficulty: Medium
Serves: 2-4 adults
Active Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins
Ingredients
- 4 Thin Cut Pork Chops (Bone-in preferably)
- 1/4 cup seasoned Flour (flour with salt and pepper)
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 large white onion, cut into thin slices
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup white wine
- Oven proof cooking pan (wrought iron preferably)
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cover your chops with seasoned flour. Place oil in a skillet and heat until smoking. Brown chops on each side, about 90 seconds a side, tops. Set chops on a plate to the side.
Add sliced onion to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Keep the skillet hot and add chicken broth and white wine to the onions. This will de-glaze the pan and add TONS of flavor. You want the onions to be covered with liquid so add more water or wine if needed.
Lay the browned chops on top of the onions. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 1 hour.
