Smothered Thin Pork Chops
Serves: 2-4 adults

- 1 lb. ground Italian turkey sausage
- 16 oz. package of pasta (your choice, farfalle is fun)
- 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
In a skillet, brown the turkey sausage. About half way through, toss in the diced tomatoes, garlic salt, cayenne pepper (if you like a little bit of spiciness) and sugar.
While sausage is browning, boil water with a pinch of salt and tablespoon of olive oil. Once water comes to a boil, add in pasta and follow cooking directions on package (all pasta cooks a little bit different). Once cooked to desired level, strain pasta and add in sausage mixture to the bowl. Its best to add the meat and pasta together in the pot you cooked the pasta in, because it will keep the pasta from sticking together for leftovers.
This is a super simple recipe that has a lot of flavor. It isn’t your typical “sauce” so if you prefer pasta with more “sauce,” add in some olive oil at the end of the mixing process.
